Upstartr helped Kano launch one of their most ambitious products, the Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit
Designed to teach kids to code through 70+ step-by-step coding challenges with a magic wand that brings code to life with instant effects on screen.
Upstartr was brought in to realise this complex production and launch and ensure the partnership between Kano, Warner Brothers and The Blair Partnership, author J.K. Rowling’s publishing team, ran smoothly.
This product was ambitious, creative and innovative with many intricate, moving parts. Upstartr needed to align every vertical and each partner to ensure launch dates were met.
As such a famous series of books and films, Upstartr also meticulously checked for continuity flaws between Kano’s content, Warner Brothers Harry Potter brand and the original texts of J.K. Rowling.
It was imperative that the product did not miss Christmas sale. So the project plan was ambitious and tight.
The creative assets, software content, hardware manufacturing suppliers in China were all directed by Upstartr’s watertight roadmap.
Upstartr coordinated the product launch at CES. Making sure the Harry Potter Kano Coding Wand would turn heads in a saturated conference hall packed with dazzling innovations.
Upstartr managed logistics, production and staffing remotely and with a modest budget, to create wow factor for all the partner brands.
The hard work paid off as on Christmas Day 2019, inspired and tech-curious children around the world were learning how to code a series of wonderfully creative 21st century magic spells.
